Who is this service for?
We are a specialist psychological therapies service, we aim to support women who are experiencing moderate -severe mental health difficulties resulting from trauma and loss within their reproductive, maternity or neonatal journey. We also aim to work inclusively with your partner and/or family.

Is this the right service for me?
This service is available to women who are registered with a GP Practice in Hull, East Riding, North and Northeast Lincolnshire, North Yorkshire and York, who have experienced any of the following events:
How do I access the service?
If you feel you could benefit from this service, please speak to your health professional who can refer you. These could include GP, Midwife, Health Visitor, Obstetrician, Fertility Specialist, Mental Health Practitioner. Unfortunately, we cannot accept self-referrals at the current time.
What can I expect?
The service operates Monday – Friday, 9-5pm excluding bank holidays. After we receive your referral one of our clinicians will telephone you to gain a better understanding of your needs. Following this discussion if we agree together that this may be the appropriate service for you, we will invite you to an assessment. We aim to offer you this assessment appointment within 2 weeks of the initial phone call.
The assessment appointment is typically 90 minutes long. We aim to gain a good understanding of the difficulties you are experiencing, make sense of this together and identify what support you may benefit from.
Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?
We understand how difficult this can be, please let us know if we can do anything to make this more comfortable. You may wish to invite a partner or family member to be present at your appointment if that would be helpful.
At the end of the assessment, we will discuss support and therapy options available. If we agree that a different service would better meet your needs, we will provide further information and signpost you as agreed.
The service aims to work closely and liaise with other professionals involved in your care.
Most of our appointments will be virtual, using video technology. If this does not feel appropriate, please discuss this with us and we can explore alternatives to suit you.
Please note we do not accept urgent or Crisis referrals. If you have significant concerns, please contact your local mental health crisis team.
If you require an interpreter, this will be arranged.
